三、Q&A
Q: Are the beads dyed or painted?
A: All bracelets are in their natural wood color. The inner and outer colors appear more glossy due to surface polishing, but the beads are not painted or dyed in any way. (If painted or dyed, it will be clearly stated.)
Q: Will the bracelet fade?
A: The color of colored wooden beads comes from natural plant pigments, which may fade slightly when exposed to external stimuli. Therefore, slight color transfer may occur in the early stage. It is recommended to rub the beads with a cotton cloth for 1-2 weeks until a protective oxide layer forms on the surface, after which fading will stop.
Q: How to play and maintain the beads?
A: When the beads are in a dry environment, first store them in a sealed bag for 1-2 weeks to adapt to the local climate, especially during autumn and winter. Do not let the beads come into contact with water.
四、Star-Moon Bodhi (Xingyue Puti)
- Avoid sweat: The human body tends to secrete more sweat in summer, and the acidic substances in sweat can damage the wood of Star-Moon Bodhi.
- Avoid collisions: Star-Moon Bodhi is made of wood and requires careful protection.
- Avoid dust and water: Accumulated dust or dirt on the surface will affect the “playing” process (polishing and patina formation). When cleaning, avoid water contact, as it may cause fading, swelling, peeling, or even cracking.
- Avoid extreme dryness or humidity: Dry environments can cause the bodhi to crack. In dry winters or northern regions, apply a tiny amount of olive oil to the bodhi for moisture. Humid environments can cause mold, so store the bodhi in an environment with moderate humidity.
